International Cigar Expo postponed

International Cigar Expo postponed. The 2021 International Cigar Expo should have been the second edition of the International Cigar Expo in China. The location of the 2021 show would have been Chengdu. But with the current covid-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions that are still in place, the organization had no other option than to postpone until a further date. The new date of the Expo will depend on the course of the pandemic.

The official statement

Considering the current situation of COVID-19 in China and across the globe, the 2021 International Cigar Expo (Chengdu), which is due to be held in Chengdu China on November 8th-10th, will be postponed to comply with relevant regulations on pandemic prevention and control of the country. The date of the Expo will be determined separately according to the situation. This difficult decision aims to protect the safety and health of our exhibitors, visitors, staff, local people in the host city, and all other participants. 

Although by the end of July, over 95% of booths have been booked and it can be called a success in some way, exhibitors and professional visitors from overseas are still difficult to attend the Expo personally here in China amid the current COVID-19 pandemic. We always sincerely hope and welcome exhibitors, visitors, guests from the whole chain of cigar industry across the globe who can come and carry out exchanges, negotiate business, and get business opportunities. We always believe the value of face-to-face communication can never be replaced by that of any other form. 

We will never swerve from the aim to set the Expo as an authoritative, professional and open platform for exhibition and trade internationally; we will commit to the guideline of elevating opening-up to a new level to promote international cooperation amid the push at a faster rate for a new development landscape which takes the domestic market as the mainstay and allows domestic and foreign markets to boost one another; we will continue to act in the spirit of openness, cooperation and win-win results to promote international exchanges and cooperation for both cigar industry and cigar supporting industries, and invite witnesses to share the benefits generated by the innovation-driven development of cigar industry in China.
