European offerings
Caldwell Cigar Company is only available in a select number of European countries. Those include Sweden, The Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. Not all countries offer the same selection. The choices are different for each distributor and each market.
One of the offerings in several European countries is the Blind Man’s Bluff. With the tag-line ‘tastes like magic to me’. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano with a binder of Honduran Criollo and Honduran and Dominican fillers. All tobacco in this cigars is of A and B grade tobaccos. The result is a medium-bodied cigar with full flavors with sweet nutty richness and hints of allspice. Blind Man’s Bluff is available in 3 vitolas in 20 count boxes.
Other regular production offerings
At Intertabac 2018 Caldwell Cigar Company also told that The King is dead is available in Europe. This puro uses some very unique and rare grade A tobaccos. The result is a deep milk chocolaty undertone with rich earthy complexity. This cigar is medium to full body and full flavor. The King Is Dead is available in 6 vitolas in 24 count boxes
Everybody knows he phrase “The king is dead, long live the king”. So when you name a cigar The king is dead, you got to have a cigar named Long lives the king. Caldwell does. This blend uses very small batch, rare, and all A grade tobaccos. The result is a rich, spicy, and complex cigar with a hint of sweetness to round it off. This cigar is full in body and full of flavor.
The Special Stuff
From the limited releases, some make it to Europe as shown at Intertabac 2018 by Caldwell Cigar Co. Caldwell’s Savages is a limited-edition extension to the Long Live the King line. Although its blend is undisclosed it is creamier and nuttier than Long Live the King and The King is Dead flavorwise. Savages are available in 5 vitolas in 10 count boxes.
Hailing from the Dominican Republic, the full-bodied Last Tsar features a Connecticut Araparica Maduro hybrid wrapper with a blend of binder and fillers. The Last Tsar delivers flavors of cedar, pepper, and smooth, creamy cocoa with a natural sweetness and a hint of citrus.
The collaborations
Made at the William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic, the Hit & Run brand was put together by Booth and Caldwell. “I think the boutique segment has changed,” Booth said. “Caldwell is the next step in an alternatively stylized product, as well as market disruption.” “It was great to work with friends and create a new product with them,” Booth says. “This was meant to be a true collaboration and a reinvention of myself. I stepped away from the business and now that I’m back, am able to participate more in the creative process. I find myself excited about tobacco in the same way I was when I first started in the industry.”
“The T. is short for any word in the world beginning with “T” that is not now, nor ever will be trademarked by anyone in the tobacco class or otherwise,” Booth explained. “I simply became tired of having to focus on the name of a product, when the focus should be on the product itself. I am extremely proud to be working on this project with Robert and A.J.” The T is coming to Europe in the Maduro and the Connecticut Shade version.
