Introducing Drew Estate’s Super Ancho: A Bold 6×60 Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Cigar for American Aficionados

May 16, 2023 Inspector L 2 min read

Drew Estate comes with a 6×60 Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo cigar called the Super Ancho which will be an event exclusive cigar, and only for the American market. Unfortunately, cigars such as the Liga Privada 10 Aniversario, Liga Privada H99 and the Blackened are not available for the many Drew Estate fans outside of the USA.

The Super Ancho has a Connecticut River Valley wrapper that is exclusively grown for Drew Estate. It is a hybrid derived from stalk-cut Habano and Connecticut corojo. The binder is Mexican San Andres Otapan Ultimo Corte while the filler comes from Honduras, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. The latter is a strong and potent variety called the Green River One Sucker

“Super Ancho’s 6 x 60 format answers the thousands of large ring gauge requests that we’ve been fielding for Liga Privada for more than ten years,” said Jonathan Drew, co-founder and president of Drew Estate, via a press release. “We didn’t fold under pressure to get this 60-ring on the market until it was absolutely perfect and worthy of the name Liga Privada. Additionally, this private blend is truly super-complex, and should be explored by the dudes and dudettes who typically smoke smaller rings, even those who smoke lanceros. Super Ancho is just different.”
