Introducing the Rocky Patel Emerald: A Lighter Box-Pressed Cigar for Every Palate

December 30, 2024 Inspector X 2 min read

Rocky Patel’s latest creation, the Emerald, is now available in the United States, offering cigar enthusiasts a unique, lighter addition to the brand’s extensive portfolio. The release date for international markets remains undisclosed.

This new line features three sizes and is distinct as the first box-pressed cigar in the Rocky Patel collection to lean on the lighter side of medium-bodied. “It’s the first box-pressed cigar we’ve released that’s on the light side of medium,” says Patel. “Most of our box-pressed cigars are medium to full.

The Emerald is crafted with an Ecuador Habano wrapper, complemented by dual binder leaves from Nicaragua and Mexico. The filler blend is predominantly Nicaraguan, with a touch of Honduran Jamastran leaf added for complexity. Patel describes the cigar as “medium, no more than medium” and highlights its approachable sweetness.

Visually, the cigars sport an elegant green-and-white band and are partially wrapped in vibrant green paper. They are presented in boxes of 20, making them an eye-catching addition to any humidor.

The line offers three sizes:
• Robusto: 5 1/2 x 50, priced at $11.75
• Toro: 6 1/2 x 54, priced at $12.75
• Sixty: 6 x 60, priced at $13.75

Patel notes that the Emerald is designed to appeal to a broad audience. “It’s got a lot of sweetness, it’s truly medium-bodied. I think it’s approachable to the masses,” he says.

Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or a newcomer to box-pressed cigars, the Rocky Patel Emerald offers a refined and balanced experience worth exploring. Stay tuned for updates on its global availability.
