Island Jim Barber Pole & Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf Limited Edition 2025 to Debut at PCA

During next month’s 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. will unveil two highly anticipated cigars: the Island Jim Barber Pole and the Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf Limited Edition 2025. Both releases will expand the company’s portfolio with unique blends and eye-catching presentations.

The Island Jim Barber Pole is a 6 x 52 vitola that showcases two Honduran-grown wrapper leaves—Connecticut and corojo—twisting together to create a visually striking cigar. Beneath these wrappers lies an undisclosed binder and filler blend, ensuring an element of surprise for smokers. The cigar will be available in 21-count boxes, with an MSRP of $13 per cigar.

Named after “Island” Jim Robinson, the well-known owner of Leaf & Bean Strip in Pittsburgh, the Island Jim brand was developed in collaboration with Oscar Valladares. Over the years, the line has gained a loyal following, and this latest barber pole release is expected to be no exception.

In addition, Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. is set to introduce the Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf Limited Edition 2025, marking two significant firsts for the company: it is both the first limited edition in the Leaf by Oscar series and the first Valladares cigar to feature a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, which has been aged for three years. This 6 x 52 vitola contains a Honduran binder and filler and will be produced in a strictly limited run of 1,500 numbered 20-count boxes. The MSRP for this cigar is set at $18 per stick.

Both cigars are crafted at the company’s factory in Danlí, Honduras, and are scheduled to begin shipping on April 11. Retailers and cigar enthusiasts attending PCA 2025 in New Orleans (April 12-14) will be among the first to experience these new offerings. Given the popularity of both the Island Jim and Leaf by Oscar brands, these releases are sure to generate excitement among aficionados.
