J.C. Newman is Releasing the Bricktoberfest 2022
J.C. Newman is releasing the Bricktoberfest 2022, a limited edition Brick House celebrating the Oktoberfest tradition of central Europe. The cigar is a 6×52 Toro with an all Nicaraguan blend, unlike the regular production of Brick House which has an Ecuadorian wrapper. And the kicker is, if your tobacconist is participating in the program, you can get a complimentary beer stein in the shape of a booth if you buy seven Brick House cigars.
On Instagram, Drew Newman wrote:
My great-grandfather, J.C. Newman, was born in a small village in Austria-Hungary in 1875. Our family home was the only house made out of brick in the town. It was known as the “Brick House.” The first floor was a general store and tavern and my family lived on the second floor. The original Brick House was a place where locals gathered to celebrate — likely including Octoberfest.
When my great-grandfather came to America and founded @j.c.newmancigarco in 1895, he missed his homeland. He created the Brick House cigar brand to honour his childhood home. The cigar label shows what the original Brick House looked like, surrounded by farmland and farm animals.
(The complete story is in my great-grandfather’s book, Smoke Dreams; a free e-book version is available on our website. The story is also reprinted inside every Brick House box.)
This month is our 5th anniversary of celebrating our Brick House cigars and the tradition of Octoberfest together as “Bricktoberfest.” Today, we are unveiling a special Bricktoberfest cigar at 150 premium cigar retailers across the country. This limited edition cigar is a Nicaraguan puro rolled with a beautiful pigtail cap. Participating stores also have commemorative Bricktoberfest beer steins.
When you light up a Brick House and celebrate Bricktoberfest, you are helping us celebrate our tradition as a 127-year-old, 4-generation family business.
