J.C. Newman Launches Bespoke Personal Reserve Programme

For 129 years, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has crafted some of the finest cigars in the world. Now, through the Personal Reserve Programme, enthusiasts can take the reins and design their perfect smoke. Guided by a master blender, participants can create a personal blend or select from one of the company’s expertly curated staff blends. Each cigar is hand-rolled at the historic El Reloj factory in Tampa, Florida, aged to perfection, and presented in a personalised leather cabinet humidor.

The programme offers a selection of 24 world-class cigar tobaccos sourced from nine different countries, allowing for millions of possible blend combinations. For $2,400, participants receive 80 custom-blended cigars packed in four leather humidors, while those opting for a staff blend can enjoy 20 cigars for $500.

“This is the ultimate gift for cigar aficionados,” says Drew Newman, the fourth-generation owner. “We’re giving cigar lovers the chance to create something truly unique—blends that can be cherished for life’s most special milestones.”

The process begins with a consultation, either in person or virtually, to craft the ideal blend. Once the tobaccos are selected, master rollers hand-roll each cigar, which is then aged in El Reloj’s underground cellar. Photos documenting the journey are shared with participants, making the six-month process a memorable experience.
