J. London Cigars Revives the Pink Telephone Booth as a Lancero Exclusive

May 15, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

The Pink Telephone Booth by J. London Cigars returns in a refined lancero vitola, exclusively for LA Aficionados Cigar Collective. This limited release offers a new expression of the original blend in a longer, slimmer format.

J. London Cigars has brought back its attention-grabbing Pink Telephone Booth cigar for an encore, this time reimagined in an elegant short lancero format. First released in July 2023 as a short robusto (4½ x 54), the new version measures 6¾ x 42 and features a pigtail cap. This refined vitola was chosen specifically to highlight the character of the blend, according to brand owner Jonathan Fiant.

The blend remains the same: a habano maduro wrapper and an olor viso binder—both from undisclosed origins—encasing Dominican fillers. Each cigar is rolled and then aged for a full year before release, a deliberate move to deepen and refine the flavour profile.

Fiant, a known fan of lanceros, partnered with LA Aficionados Cigar Collective in Metairie, Louisiana, to release the exclusive. “This was a project that I knew would be a great fit for a shop that loves lanceros as much as I do,” he said. “When I met them at TPE, the owner Kyle and his team already knew my brand well. They were eager to make a unique mark with something special.”

Production of the Pink Telephone Booth Lancero is strictly limited: just 190 ten-count packs have been made, retailing at $13 per stick or $130 per pack. The cigars are now available both in-store and online via LA Aficionados.

Collectors and lancero lovers alike will likely appreciate this rare reissue, especially given its longer, leaner form and additional year of ageing. While limited in quantity, the release continues J. London’s tradition of delivering elegant, boutique experiences—this time through the narrow lens of a lancero.
