Jared Ingrisano Introduces MB Fuma: A Celebration of Italian Heritage in Nicaraguan Cigars
Jared Ingrisano, co-founder of Favillii Trading LLC and former president of Mombacho Cigars S.A is releasing a new brand celebrating the Italian heritage in Nicaragua. The new brand, called MB Fuma, will launch with two core lines called Straight off the Boat and Consegna Speciale. The third line is a special release for the holiday feast day of Saint Andrew on November 30th, called Nov 30. The cigars are made at AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A. cigar factory located in Condega, Nicaragua. Omar Ortez, Ingrisano’s father in law, owns that factory.
“MB Fuma creates premium cigars that are manufactured with traditional techniques and creates brand lines that pay homage to MBF’s Italian heritage by uniquely celebrating the Italian artisanship and design so loved by the world,” Ingrisano says in a press release. “Launching first in designated key accounts, a part of the company’s strategy is to prioritize retail shops with owners of Italian heritage and/or stores located in the traditional Italian neighbourhoods of America.”
New arrivals from Italy were called “straight off the boat” by American Italians and other nationalities. MB Fuma now uses that derogatory slang in pride. The line comes in two sizes, and in two blends. The Alla Brace has a maduro wrapper and comes in a 5×54 Robusto and 6¼x52 Torpedo. Cazza La Randa comes in the exact same sizes but with a Habano wrapper. Both blends are Nicaraguan puros.
MB Fuma will also be releasing Consegna Speciale, which translates to “Special Delivery” in Italian. The Nicaraguan puro will launch in a singular 4 x 49 Rothschild vitola and is made up of a Habano wrapper, Jalapa binder and filler tobaccos from the Condega and Estelí growing regions.
It has an MSRP of $7.75 per cigar and is offered in both boxes of six cigars and 25 cigars.
The second line is the Consegna Speciale aka Special Delivery. This Nicaraguan puro comes in a 4×49 Rothschild with a Habano wrapper. The cigars are packed in boxes of 25 or gift packs of 6.
NOV30 is also a Nicaraguan puro but with a Maduro wrapper. The press release didn’t reveal much about the cigar nor the line. It did mention that there will be a 4×46 corona is in the plans with the name La Rapier but that more details would follow next year.
