Jeffrey McMahon killed in own home
An American executive of Tabacalera de Garcia has been murdered in his luxury villa at a high end resort only a few miles from his place of employment. Minnesota born Jeffrey McMahon worked in upper management of the largest factory for handmade cigars in the world. He was stabbed to death and received multiple blows to the head according to the police. Tabacalera de Garcia is the factory of Altadis USA and the home for the non Cuban Montecristo, H. Upmann, Romeo y Julieta but also the home of VegaFina, Aging Room and many other brands.
The Dominican National Police have identified a male suspect. The suspect was seen in McMahon’s car and home that evening. The resort security raised concerns after the assailant was spotted in McMahon’s vehicle and drove through the exit barrier. Arrests have not been made yet.
