Joya de Nicaragua Unveils Exclusive Cinco de Cinco TAA Cigar for 2024
As autumn approaches, Joya de Nicaragua is thrilled to announce the release of its latest limited-edition cigar, the Cinco de Cinco TAA Exclusive. Crafted specifically for the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), this exceptional release marks a significant moment for both Joya de Nicaragua and the TAA. The Cinco de Cinco TAA Exclusive will be available during the 2024 TAA annual trade show, a key event for the industry.
The Tobacconists’ Association of America, established in 1968—the same year as Joya de Nicaragua—has played an essential role in advocating for retail tobacconists and supporting the broader tobacco industry across the United States. The TAA has long provided its members with exclusive cigars, educational resources, and invaluable networking opportunities. For decades, Joya de Nicaragua has been at the forefront of the Nicaraguan cigar market, known for producing cigars of exceptional quality, and this new release reflects that enduring commitment.
This year’s Cinco de Cinco TAA Exclusive is a celebration of the strong relationship between Joya de Nicaragua and the TAA. The limited-edition cigar not only showcases the fine craftsmanship and rich heritage that Joya de Nicaragua is renowned for, but also honours over five decades of innovation and growth within the cigar industry.
Juan Ignacio Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua, commented on the release: “Cinco de Cinco has been a phenomenal success, quickly becoming our most sought-after cigar worldwide. To celebrate this achievement with our dedicated TAA Partners and Amigos, we’ve crafted the exclusive Gordo 6×60 format. This cigar is a testament to our shared passion for excellence and the enduring legacy of TAA, an organisation that has been a cornerstone of the industry for decades.”
The Cinco de Cinco TAA Exclusive is made with vintage tobaccos, including a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and Nicaraguan fillers and binders, resulting in a rich, medium-to-full-bodied smoke. Expect earthy flavours combined with hints of cocoa and dark chocolate, delivering a complex experience that evolves throughout the smoke. This new blend, part of Joya de Nicaragua’s Obras Maestras family, will retail at $23 per cigar and $230 per box.
Distinguished by the TAA Exclusive Series emblem, only 600 boxes of this exclusive edition will be produced, making it a rare find for collectors and aficionados alike. Shipping for the Cinco de Cinco Gordo TAA Exclusive is set to begin on Wednesday, 23 October 2024.
