Juan Lopez Debuts Its First Regional Edition for Spain

April 8, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

For the first time, Spain gets its own Juan Lopez Regional Edition. The Juan Lopez Cincuenta y Cuatro features a thick 54-ring gauge, a unique design, and will be limited to just 50,000 boxes. This marks a new chapter in the Cuban cigar brand’s legacy.

Juan Lopez, one of Cuba’s historic cigar brands, has created its first-ever Regional Edition specifically for Spain. Known as the Juan Lopez Cincuenta y Cuatro, this special release celebrates the country with a cigar that features a thick 54-ring gauge, measuring 4 3/4 inches in length. It is being sold in boxes of 10, with a price tag of 22 euros per cigar (around $24) or 220 euros per box (roughly $240).

What makes the Cincuenta y Cuatro particularly unique is its customised band, a departure from the traditional Juan Lopez design. The central motif highlights the cigar’s name, and two gold medals embellish either side of the band. One medal represents the original Juan Lopez design, while the other features an embossment of the Palace of the Captains General, a historic Colonial Baroque building in Old Havana.

Only 50,000 boxes of this medium-to-full-bodied cigar will be produced, marking a rare release for a brand that has historically only seen new cigars through limited editions or Regional Editions. The Juan Lopez Cincuenta y Cuatrois set to make waves among aficionados in Spain and beyond, bringing a new level of craftsmanship and exclusivity to the table.

For those in search of an exceptional Cuban cigar, this limited-edition Juan Lopez promises to be a remarkable addition to any collection.
