Karen Berger adds lanceros

Karen Berger adds lanceros to the K by Karen Berger line. The lancero is a line edition to the K by Karen Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro blends that are already available on the market. It’s the fourth size for each of the lines and will join the 5×52 Robusto, 6×52 Toro, and the 5×52/58 Salomon. Just like the other sizes, the 7×38 Lancero comes in boxes of 10 cigars.

Cameroon edition

But that’s not all, Karen Berger is also adding a new wrapper. That wapper is famous Cameroon, world-class tobacco from Africa. The K by Karen Cameroon comes in three sizes. Those are a 5×52 Robusto, 6×52 Toro, and the 5×52/58 Salomon. Unfortunately, no lancero, as lanceros are our favorite vitola and Cameroon is our favorite wrapper.

The K by Karen Berger Cameroon isn’t a regular production line. Each of the sizes is limited to 1000 boxes of 10 cigars. The binder and filler of the K by Karen Berger Cameroon are Nicaraguan, most likely from Berger’s farms in Esteli.

K by Karen Berger history

Don Kiki Berger was a Cuban American of Polish descent. And he created a vertically integrated empire. He grew tobacco in Esteli, rolled cigars in Esteli, and then sold those cigars through his Cuban Crafters and Don Kiki Superstore in Miami. He met the love of his life in Esteli, Karen.

After the passing of Don Kiki, Karen took all her knowledge of tobacco and began growing the brands. Don Kiki is now available in several countries. She also created the K by Karen Berger blends that are slowly getting more and more recognition. We reviewed the Don Kiki Brown Label, Don Kiki Platinum Label, and the K by Karen Berger Habano Salomon.
