Kopp Tobaccos Expands Operations with New Facility in Germany
Kopp Tobaccos, a leading distributor of premium cigars and pipe tobacco in Germany, has relocated to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in Rellingen, just outside Hamburg. The new 65,000-square-foot space significantly enhances the company’s production and operational efficiency.
Situated only a kilometre from its previous location, the new facility is more than twice the size of the old one. According to Kopp Tobaccos, the expansion addresses previous logistical challenges and streamlines production processes. One of the key highlights is the addition of a 10,000-square-foot humidor capable of storing up to three million cigars, reinforcing the company’s position as a major player in the German cigar market.
Kopp Tobaccos serves as a distributor for several prestigious cigar brands, including AGANORSA Leaf, Arturo Fuente, E.P. Carrillo, My Father, and PDR Cigars. The enhanced storage capacity and upgraded infrastructure will enable the company to better support its retail partners and customers across Germany.
In addition to cigars, Kopp Tobaccos has a strong presence in the pipe tobacco market. The company distributes products from renowned brands such as Cornell & Diehl, HU Tobacco, Kopp White Elephant, Rattray’s, and Robert McConnell. With exports reaching 32 countries and a catalogue of over 600 pipe tobacco blends, the company continues to expand its influence in the global market.
The move to the new facility marks the culmination of a three-year investment initiative led by brothers Oliver and Thilo Kopp, following the company’s transition from Kohlhase & Kopp. The relocation was overseen by key personnel, including Alfons Bonus, Production Manager; Christoph Probst, COO; and Konstantin Keller, IT Specialist.
This expansion underscores Kopp Tobaccos’ commitment to growth, innovation, and superior service within the premium tobacco industry.
