Lampert Expands 12-Year-Old Rum Availability to the United States

In Austria, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, and Switzerland Lampert is not only selling cigars but also a 12 year old rum. That rum, made in Panama and aged in white oak ex-bourbon barrels, will now also be available in the United States. It is a small batch rum with only 500 bottles made annually.

The rum has aromas of buttery wet oak, kola nut and pistachio, vanilla, orange blossom, dried fruit, and toffee before you get subtle hint of anise on the nose. On the palate, dried coconut balanced against the fine line between sweet and dry as it cascades through cream soda, dark fruit, vanilla custard, toasted oak, and toasted coconut before showing dry, toasted wood with a hint of anise. The palate remains well balanced on the long finish.
