LaVega Unveils La Trilogia Barber Pole Limited Edition
LaVega Cigar Co. will release La Trilogia in early February as the third entry in its Limited Series. The barber pole toro completes a themed trilogy that began in 2023.
A Trilogy Concept Comes Full Circle
LaVega’s Limited Series follows a clear narrative arc. Founder Aaron Paoletta designed the line to move in chapters.
Paoletta drew inspiration from cinema. Each release plays a role in a broader story. The name La Trilogia reflects that intent directly.
The first Limited Series release arrived in 2024. LaVega followed it with a second chapter in 2025. The upcoming cigar now completes the sequence.
Blend and Vitola Details
La Trilogia comes in a 6 x 50 toro format. The cigar features a true barber pole wrapper.
One wrapper leaf is a five-year-old Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed tobacco. The second is a three-year-old Mexican San Andrés leaf. Together, they create the dual-wrapper appearance.
A Dominican olor binder aged for three years sits underneath. The filler blend combines Dominican seco and ligero, Nicaraguan tobacco, and Pennsylvania broadleaf. All filler tobaccos have aged between three and five years.
This construction delivers contrast in both flavour and combustion. The wrapper combination plays a central role in the cigar’s profile.
Factory and Production Approach
LaVega produces La Trilogia at Tabacalera Las Lavas. The factory handles LaVega’s core lines.
This release marks the first time Las Lavas has produced a Limited Series cigar for the brand. Previous Limited Series releases relied on the “found cigars” model.
Paoletta worked closely with Luis Cuevas Jr. throughout 2025. The two discussed the technical challenges of producing a barber pole cigar.
Only one master roller at the factory handles the wrapping. The process requires significant time and precision. That limitation shaped both production and scale.
Pricing and Production Numbers
La Trilogia carries an MSRP of $14.99 per cigar. Boxes of 10 cigars retail for $149.99.
Production is limited to 200 boxes. That places total output at 2,000 cigars.
The small run reflects the labour-intensive nature of the barber pole design.
Release Timeline and Early Access
LaVega will release La Trilogia to all retailers on February 4, 2026. The date carries personal significance for Paoletta.
Two weeks earlier, the cigar will be available at select locations. These include the LaVega lounge at company headquarters in Mercer, Pennsylvania.
Early access will also take place at the first LaVega Legacy room inside Living My Best Cigar Life in Moundsville, West Virginia.
The Limited Series Evolution
LaVega announced its Limited Series in May 2023. The concept aimed to explore blends outside the core portfolio.
The first release, NANO, debuted in 2024. Il Seguito, meaning “the sequel,” followed in 2025.
With La Trilogia, the brand completes its initial trilogy while leaving the door open for future returns.
