Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 released in Belgium

May 5, 2022 Inspector Z 1 min read

For over three decades, General Cigars, the longfiller division of Scandinavian Tobacco Group, keeps fifty bales of each crop of tobacco in a library. And only when the master blenders of General Cigars think the tobacco reached its peak, they use it in a limited edition.

For this year’s limited edition Macanudo the blenders picked a vintage Connecticut Broadleaf from 1997 and used it as a wrapper. The binder comes from Honduras. The filler comes from three countries, Nicaragua, Brazil and the Dominican Republic. The Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 reached the Belgian retailers earlier this week. The cigars will have a ring made out of metal. The cigars are toro sized. Only hundred boxes of twelve cigars are available for the country. The cigars are €17,50 each.
