MBombay Mora Returns With Two Aged 2026 Releases
MBombay has revived its Mora line with two limited releases rolled in 2019. The aged cigars mark a quiet but notable return for Mel Shah’s boutique brand.
MBombay’s Quiet Return to Retail Shelves
Since 2020, MBombay has remained largely absent from the retail spotlight. That changed last year, when its cigars began reappearing in select shops. The renewed activity now continues with the return of Mora, one of the brand’s earlier lines.
This release blends old production with a new direction. While the cigars carry a 2026 release designation, they were rolled in 2019. MBombay positions them as aged stock with an updated blend profile.
A New Blend Built on Aged Stock
The revived Mora uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. An Ecuadorian binder sits underneath. The filler blend combines tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Pennsylvania.
This marks a clear departure from the original Mora blend. When Mora debuted in 2014, it featured a Dominican wrapper. That version used a Peruvian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
Despite the blend change, production has stayed consistent. Like earlier MBombay cigars, the Mora line was rolled at Tabacos de Costa Rica.
Two Vitolas, Limited Production
MBombay is releasing Mora in two formats. Both appear in boxes of 10 cigars.
MBombay Mora Robusto (2026)
Size: 5 x 54
Price: $19.95 per cigar
Box price: $199.50
Production: 2,768 boxes
MBombay Mora Toro (2026)
Size: 6 1/2 x 54
Price: $21.95 per cigar
Box price: $219.50
Production: 2,764 boxes
Because production took place in 2019, availability remains fixed. No additional runs are planned.
Shipping Begins This Week
MBombay confirmed that both Mora vitolas are shipping this week. Retailers will receive limited allocations due to the finite inventory. The release adds another chapter to the brand’s slow re-emergence after several quiet years.
For longtime MBombay followers, Mora represents both continuity and change. The cigars combine extended ageing with a revised blend approach, while maintaining the brand’s Costa Rican production roots.
