My Father Ships Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ 20th Anniversary Cigars

Limited-edition Nicaraguan blend celebrates two decades of the iconic Serie JJ line

My Father Cigars has begun shipping the Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ 20th Anniversary, a special edition celebrating 20 years of one of the brand’s founding lines. The release includes two all-Nicaraguan cigars—a Toro and a darker Salomon—crafted with Corojo wrappers and a rare touch of Pelo de Oro tobacco.

The cigars use tobacco grown entirely by the Garcia family on their farms across Nicaragua. The 6 1/2 x 52 Toro features a Corojo ’99 Rosado wrapper, while the 7 1/4 x 57 Salomon is wrapped in a deeper-hued Corojo ’99 Rosado Oscuro. Both wrappers were cultivated under shade at the Las Lometas farm in Estelí, reflecting My Father’s commitment to quality from seed to cigar.

A standout detail in this release is the use of Pelo de Oro, a notoriously low-yield and disease-prone tobacco leaf. Due to its rarity, the Garcias reserve this leaf for limited-edition blends. In this case, it adds complexity to a blend designed to offer a fuller-bodied smoking experience.

The 20th Anniversary box contains 17 cigars—16 Toros and a single Salomon, which is displayed in the centre of the box in a coffin-style case. Priced at $374 per box, or $22 per cigar, the production is capped at just 2,500 boxes, making this a true collector’s release.

Serie JJ is named after Jaime and Janny Garcia, the son and daughter of company patriarch José “Pepín” Garcia. As with all My Father cigars, these were rolled at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí.
