New Churchill for Vintage Rock-A-Feller
New Churchill for Vintage Rock-A-Feller’s Dominican Blue line. Last week, at the Tobacco Plus Expo, the cigar company showcased the line addition. The 7×48 Churchill is box-pressed. The Dominican Blue line was introduced in July 2019 at the IPCPR Trade show. The original vitolas are a 5×50 Short Pyramid and a 6×52 Pigtail Finished Toro.
Dominican Blue
The Vintage Rock-A-Feller Dominican Blue line was created with industry veteran Victor De La Cruz. He assisted Rock-A-Feller Cigars owner Kevin Schweitzer with the blending of the line. The duo used Dominican fillers, Pilato and Seco HVA to be precise. Combined with a Sumatra binder and an aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper it resulted in this line.
“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Victor de la Cruz and his Tabacalera L&V S.R.L factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic,” said Kevin Schweitzer. “This box-pressed Churchill truly brings out the flavors of the Dominican Blue blend. Victor is a legend in the industry and a master blender going back decades in the business.”

Victor de La Cruz & Vintage Rock-A-Feller
De La Cruz started working in tobacco in the late 1950s. His first job was sorting and preparing tobacco. But at a young age, he started rolling cigars as well. De La Cruz went on to become a supervisor in the founding of Henke Kelner’s Tabadom. Tabadom became Davidoff Cigars after Davidoff left Cuba.
Vintage Rock-A-Feller was founded in 2009 by Kevin Schweizer, Jeffrey Uvezian (son of Avo), and an undisclosed member of the Rockefeller family. Kevin Schweitzer is currently the owner and CEO of the company. There are several Nicaraguan and Dominican blends from Rock-A-Feller on the market.
