July 18, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

New introductions from Crux Cigars. The American cigar brand is bringing several new cigars to the PCA Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas. The 88th PCA show, formerly known as IPCPR and RTDA, takes place from July 10 to July 13.

Short Salomone Vitola

Crux Cigars announces the release of 2 blends in the Short Salomone Vitola. After being released in 2018, the Epicure Short Salomone found its place in the hearts of many cigar enthusiasts. It was garnering consistently high ratings across all major review sites. The Limitada Short Salomone will feature a soft box-press to fit the rest of the Limitada line.

The Epicure Maduro Short Salomone was released in May 2021. Both blends ship in 20 count boxes and 20-count refill bricks.

Du Connoisseur

Crux Cigars is rereleasing the Du Connoisseur with all-new packaging. Released at IPCPR in 2015, the Du Connoisseur was the first extension to the original 5 blends manufactured by Crux Cigars. Since the release, it has been a staple in the Crux Cigars assortment. The Du Connoisseur consistently rated high on industry blogs. The new packaging design features gold on white boxes to house the 4 vitolas with a small footprint.

“The Du Connoisseur is such an important re-release for Crux to continue our commitment to the small ring market.” says Casey Haugen, “The reintroduction of the Du Connoisseur has been met with a great enthusiasm with our retail partners.” The four vitolas are a Lancero, Short Lancero, Panatelloa, and Corona Gorda. The largest ring gauge in the series is 46, a rarity nowadays but great news for lovers of thinner cigars.

Bull & Bear

Crux Cigars also introduces a line extension for the Bull and Bear blend with the introduction of a Double Corona. For the first time, a 7 x 54 Double Corona will be available to retailers nationwide. The original release was in 2014 and that makes the Bull & Bear was one of the 5 original blends by Crux Cigars. Since its release, it has been a staple in the Crux Cigars assortment. The new packaging features a yin-yang-styled bull and bear icon and vibrant blue color.
