Oliva Updates Packaging Series V

October 24, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Three vitolas of the ever-popular Oliva Series V now come in beautiful three packs. These are the 5×54 Double Robusto, 6×60 Double Toro, and the 4×43 No.4. It is a perfect gift pack or a pack for a weekend getaway.

Oliva Series V

Since its inception in 2007, the Oliva Series V has been a huge success. Even after more than a decade, it is the best-selling cigar in the Oliva brand, outperforming all of the other Oliva lines. The Oliva Series V is a complex blend of Nicaraguan longfiller tobaccos. Blended with specially fermented Jalapa Valley ligero. And finished with a high priming Habano Sun Grown Wrapper from Ecuador.

The line got three extensions. First Oliva came with an annual Oliva Series V Maduro, which after many years became a full regular production series. The wrapper for this version is Mexican San Andres. The most praised addition is the Oliva Series V Melanio. A tribute to the family patriarch. This blend won the Cigar of the Year contest by Cigar Aficionado in 2014. And the Oliva Series V Melanio has a Maduro version as well.

The new packaging

For now, only the original Oliva Series V comes with the addition of the three-cigars pack. And only in the three vitolas No.4, Double Robusto, and Double Toro. If the packaging is crossing over to other sizes in the line, or the three other Oliva Serie V lines is something Oliva didn’t comment on. Whether the other regular production lines of Oliva will see the same three packs in the future is also uncertain.
