Padrón Black PB-99 Begins Shipping to Retailers Ahead of Schedule
The Padrón Black PB-99 has started shipping earlier than expected, adding a new size to the highly regarded Padrón Black cigar line. Available in both maduro and natural wrappers, this release delivers the bold profile that the series is known for.
A New Format Honouring José Orlando Padrón
Measuring 6 ¾ inches with a 60 ring gauge, the PB-99 departs from the brand’s typical box-pressed style by offering a round format. Each cigar is rolled entirely by hand in Nicaragua using 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos.
The name PB-99 pays tribute to what would have been the 99th birthday of company founder José Orlando Padrón, born on 10 June 1926. He led the company to become one of the most respected names in premium cigars before his passing in 2017.
Pricing and Packaging
The Padrón Black PB-99 carries an MSRP of $44 per cigar and is presented in boxes of 10. Both maduro and natural versions are available, catering to smokers who enjoy either a rich, dark sweetness or a more balanced, earthy profile.
Early Release for Retailers
The cigar was first previewed at the Premium Cigar Association trade show in New Orleans earlier this year. Initially slated for a September release, the PB-99 is now arriving in stores ahead of schedule due to available inventory.
Stronger Profile in the Padrón Black Line
The Padrón Black series remains a smaller, more exclusive line within the brand’s portfolio. Known for delivering a stronger profile than most Padrón offerings, it appeals to aficionados seeking depth, strength, and complexity.
