Paul Garmirian releasing anniversary cigar

April 28, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Paul Garmirian releasing anniversary cigar. The PG Gourmet Series III 30th Anniversary is arriving at retail shops. As the name suggests, it’s a celebratory release. The new line is commemorating the 30th anniversary of Garmirian’s entry in the cigar industry as a brand owner.

Dr. Garmarian is an Arminian American cigar connoisseur. A combination that is not that uncommon. There are more Armenian or Armenian Americans with a brand to their name. In 1990 he wrote a book about his passion, The Gourmet Guide to Cigars. For this book, he did extensive research. That research he used to create Paul Garmirian Cigars, or PG Cigars as the brand is often called.

New gourmet series

The gourmet name comes back often. Not only for the book but also for the cigars. In the past, Dr. Garmirian released several lines with the name. The regular Gourmet series, Gourmet II, Gourmet Series 15th Anniversary. And now the Gourmet III 30th Anniversary.

The new line is made with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The rest of the tobacco hails from the Dominican Republic. That’s also where the cigars are made. At the Occidental Cigar Factory. That is one of the several cigars owned by Davidoff. According to Garmirian, this is the smoothest strong cigar he ever made.

PG Gourmet Series III 30th Anniversary comes in three sizes. A 3½x46 Bombones Extra. The PG Gourmet Series III 30th Anniversary Short Robusto measures 4 ½ x52. And then there is the PG Gourmet Series III 30th Anniversary Connoisseur with a 6×52 size. All cigars are packed in 25 count boxes.

PG Cigars doesn’t have a huge international distribution network. It’s highly unlikely that the PG Gourmet Series III 30th Anniversary will spread to many countries around the globe. He has fans in high positions though. Former American presidents as George W. Bush and Bill Clinton smoke his cigars.
