PCA Appoints Shannon Marie as New Director of Trade Show and Events
The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) has announced the hiring of Shannon Marie as its new Director of Trade Show and Events, starting on July 15, 2024. Shannon brings over a decade of experience in the events industry, having dedicated her career to helping trade associations enhance their event offerings. She will work alongside Lisa Cox, the organization’s Senior Director of Trade Shows and Events, effective immediately.
“I am excited to see the PCA’s team expand in a critical area so that we can provide additional program offerings for the trade show and events. I know that Shannon will be able to support Lisa in maintaining a best-in-class trade show and add other experiential elements to our marquee event and beyond,” said Joshua Habursky, PCA’s Executive Director.
“Shannon is a valuable addition to the team, and her expertise will benefit the PCA trade show in every facet of the experience. We are delighted to have her on the team,” added Lisa Cox.
“I am grateful for this new and exciting opportunity to serve premium cigar members and thrilled to join the PCA team,” Shannon commented.
Before joining the PCA, Shannon held several positions at the National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU), including Event Producer (2015-2017), Associate Director of Events (2017-2019), Senior Associate Director of Events (2019-2022), and Director of Events (2022-2023). She managed and directed NAFCU’s conferences and events, built relationships with vendors, organized budgets, handled contracts, and other tasks. From 2023-2024, Shannon worked as a consultant with the PCA, assisting in the logistics, contracts, and planning of the annual trade show.
