Plasencia Alma del Cielo at InterTabac 2025
Plasencia is showing Alma del Cielo at InterTabac 2025 in Dortmund after a U.S. debut earlier this year. The line centers on leaf from Finca San Julian in Condega at over 3,500 feet and arrives in three sizes.
Alma del Cielo translates as Soul from the Sky. The project ties to family history through Melalina Torres, wife of Don Nestor Plasencia, who once found refuge in the fields of San Julian. Years later the land was restored as a gift, and it now supplies the tobaccos that define this release.
The blend is positioned as a product of altitude and place. Finca San Julian sits above 3,500 feet, and the company frames this cooler, higher site as delivering distinct character. The narrative balances romance, heritage, and an emphasis on agronomy.
Company tasting notes describe an opening of marzipan and honey with nougat, followed by earth and orange zest, then warm cedar, before a refined ginger spice in the finish. The pairing guidance from the maker points toward a fine luxury champagne.
Vitolas and presentation

• Celeste, robusto, 4 7⁄8 x 52
• Boreal, toro, 6 1⁄8 x 54
• Amanecer, hexágono, 6 x 60
Plasencia lists its InterTabac location as Hall 4 EO6. Alongside the showcase the company will present the Plasencia Award for Luxury Experience in Retail, an honor intended for a lounge or retail partner that embodies refinement, service, and ambiance. The award will be conferred during the show.
Alma del Cielo now moves from a celebrated U.S. debut to an international stage in Dortmund, placing the San Julian story in front of a wider audience while keeping the emphasis on site and legacy.
