Plasencia Cigars Unveils Cosecha 151 TAA Exclusive Salomón at 2025 TAA
A Sculpted Honduran Masterpiece Returns
Plasencia Cigars will unveil a special edition of its award-winning Cosecha 151 line at the 2025 Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) meeting. The Cosecha 151 TAA Exclusive Salomón, presented in a striking 6 x 54 figurado vitola, will be available only to TAA retailers attending the Casa de Campo event in the Dominican Republic.
This limited release marks a bold return for the celebrated Honduran puro, known for its depth, refinement, and craftsmanship. Each cigar highlights Plasencia’s 151st continuous harvest—an extraordinary lineage of premium tobacco cultivation dating back to 1865.
Crafted from a Legendary Harvest
The Cosecha 151 TAA Exclusive Salomón showcases tobaccos from the 2016–2017 crop, hand-rolled by master torcedores in Danlí, Honduras. These select leaves form a balanced, medium-to-full-bodied profile, rich with notes of roasted coffee, pecans, and dark chocolate. Layers of prunes, cinnamon, and oak complete the cigar’s elegant progression.
Néstor Andrés Plasencia, fifth-generation cigar maker, shared, “Cosecha represents the soul of Honduras. To share this blend in such a commanding format with our TAA partners is both a privilege and a celebration of the land, our artisans, and the loyalty of those who appreciate the quality of Honduran tobacco.”
Award-Winning Heritage
The Cosecha 151 has enjoyed exceptional recognition across the industry. It was named Best Brand Honduras 2025 at the Cigar Trophy Awards by Cigar Journal and crowned #1 New Cigar of 2024 by the same publication. The cigar also secured Top 25 placements from Cigar Aficionado, Cigar Snob Magazine, and CigarsLover Magazine, as well as a Best of the Best 2024 accolade from Robb Report.
This release continues Plasencia’s commitment to excellence, pairing timeless Honduran tradition with modern craftsmanship.
