Plasencia sampler in Switzerland. Not too long ago, Plasencia Cigars decided to release a sampler with three sizes of the Alma del Fuego blend. The Alma del Fuego is part of the Alma series that Plasencia is releasing. The sampler with three different sizes of the Alma del Fuego line is now available in Switzerland for 48 CHF. And it’s not a limited edition, the sampler is part of the regular portfolio of Plasencia Cigars and its importer & distributor in Switzerland, The Royal Cigar Company.

ALMA DEL FUEGO

Alma del Fuego, or the soul of fire, is an all Nicaraguan cigar. All the tobacco in this blend comes from the farms of the Plasencia family. The family is probably the largest grower of premium tobacco in the world. It’s the third release in the Alma series after the Alma del Campo and the Alma Fuerte. With the series, Plasencia pays tribute to the soul of cigars.

The Alma del Fuego pays homage to the island of Ometepe. Even though the cigar has a wrapper from Jalapa. The two binders and half of the filler come from the island in Lake Nicaragua though. The samples contains the 5×50 Cadente, the 6½x38 Flama, and the 6×54 Concepcion.

When the sampler came out, Plasencia Cigars CEO Nestor Andres Plasencia said in a press release that “The Alma del Fuego is a project which is near and dear to our heart. Ometepe has been particularly good to us and we felt it was necessary to share its history and importance to tobacco making with the cigar smoking public. Our consumers have been very communicative with us, and it was asked of us to create a 3-pack that would be easily accessible while offering the Plasencia Alma del Fuego in all three of its expressions.
