It offers a unique opportunity for cigar lovers from around the world to immerse themselves in Nicaraguan culture, tobacco production, and hospitality.
The festival begins on Sunday, 18 January, with a welcome reception in Managua. The day will close with a welcome dinner at the historic Hotel Darío.
On Tuesday, 20 January, attendees will explore Granada’s cultural landmarks via three guided tour circuits. One route includes La Pólvora Fortress and the San Francisco Convent. Another explores Granada’s iconic churches, such as La Merced, Xalteva, and Guadalupe. The third circuit focuses on chocolate, with a visit to a local museum and factory. Lunch will be served in a converted train station museum, and dinner will return to Hotel Darío.
The following day, guests will travel north to Estelí, widely regarded as the cigar capital of Nicaragua. Lunch will take place at a tobacco farm in San Isidro, followed by a cigar and coffee pairing in the afternoon. The evening will host the official opening dinner of the festival.
On Thursday, 22 January, the programme includes tours of tobacco farms and factories. The day will end with the annual white party, a celebration of Nicaraguan tradition and cuisine where guests dress in white attire.
Friday will offer additional tours of local cigar producers, culminating in a gala dinner that pays tribute to Nicaragua’s cigar industry and the artisans behind it. Participants will return home on Saturday, 24 January.
While registration details are yet to be released, organisers have confirmed that the total cost will not exceed $2,600 USD per person. This fee includes all scheduled activities, meals, and transportation during the festival.
