Raíces Cubanas 1941 Nuevo Comienzo Set to Ship Tomorrow
Raíces Cubanas is releasing its first new line since the brand’s launch last year. The Raíces Cubanas 1941 Nuevo Comienzo pays homage to the factory’s founders, blending Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos in a tribute to legacy and renewal.
A Tribute to the Founders
The Raíces Cubanas 1941 Nuevo Comienzo honours Romay and Maria Endemaño, founders of the famed Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras. The number 1941 represents the birth year of both founders, while Nuevo Comienzo translates to “new beginning” — symbolising a fresh chapter for the brand.
This release is the first new addition since Raíces Cubanas debuted its namesake brand in 2024. The company continues to showcase the craftsmanship that has made its factory a cornerstone for brands like Alec Bradley, Illusione, and Viaje.
A Blend Rooted in Heritage
The Nuevo Comienzo features a Trojes-grown Honduran wrapper over dual binders from Jamastran Valley (Honduras) and Estelí (Nicaragua). The filler combines four distinct origins — Jamastran, Trojes, Estelí, and Jalapa— creating a medium-to-full-bodied profile that balances strength with complexity.
Each component reflects the blending expertise honed by decades of production at Raíces Cubanas. The factory’s hallmark has always been precision construction and depth of flavour, qualities that define this new release.
Three Regular Production Sizes
The Raíces Cubanas 1941 Nuevo Comienzo line will be available in three core vitolas, each offered in boxes of 18 cigars:
- Robusto (5 x 52) — $12.85 per cigar ($231.30 per box)
- Gran Toro (6 x 54) — $13.95 per cigar ($237.15 per box)
- Gordo (6 x 60) — $14.95 per cigar ($269.10 per box)
Shipments begin tomorrow, marking the official arrival of this significant new chapter for Raíces Cubanas.
Continuing a Legacy of Excellence
The Endemaño family, in partnership with Ralph Montero — former Alec Bradley executive — established the Raíces Cubanas brand to celebrate decades of Honduran craftsmanship. With the launch of Nuevo Comienzo, the brand reaffirms its commitment to heritage, family, and the art of fine cigar making.
