Registration for Procigar open

Registration for Procigar open. And this year, cigar aficionados don’t have to decide if they want to go to Procigar or the Habanos Festival. Last year, the two major cigar events took place on the same weekend, but this year, they are a week apart again. The Dominican cigar festival Procigar will take place from 16 till 21st February. And the Habanos festival is opening on February 24 and ends on the 28th.

Procigar

The Procigar organization was founded in 1992. The best and most traditional cigar manufacturers formed the association o defend, protect and divulge the good name of the Dominican Republic. And one of the ways to promote the Dominican cigar is the Procigar Festival, which enters its 13th edition. And every year the number of participants grows. The festival is quite simple in its setup. During the day, attendees get the chance to see cigar factories and field trips to tobacco plantations. At night there are gala dinners. And cigar? There are more than you can smoke, with a beautiful sampler box to take home. That way, you can enjoy the festival even when you’re back at home.

The registration for the 2020 Festival is open. You can register at the Procigar website. There are several options, either to book a specific day and event for a fee. Or book all the events and get a discount on the fee plus better hotel rates. Registration is open to consumers, retailers, press, and suppliers. Only cigar brands manufactured by the members of Procigar are allowed at the Festival activities.

Procigar members are Davidoff, Royal Agio Cigars, Scandinavian Tobacco, Quesada Cigars, La Aurora, PDR, La Flor Dominicana, De Los Reyes, Altadis USA, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Jochy Blanco, and Arturo Fuente. Some brands produced by these factories are automatically included as well, so names as Debonaire, Aging Room, Mathilde, Nat Sherman, and others are included as well.
