RoMa Craft Tobac to Launch Mon Chéri Cigar in Limited Release

On Monday, November 11, RoMa Craft Tobac will debut the CRAFT Maquette Mon Chéri, a new take on its popular Aquitaine line. The Mon Chéri, a 5 3/4 x 46 corona gorda, offers enthusiasts a smaller, refined version of the Aquitaine EMH Frenchy, traditionally rolled as a robusto gordo in 5 x 56. True to RoMa Craft’s innovative spirit, Mon Chéri sports a barber-pole wrapper design, featuring a unique spiral pattern crafted from two distinct wrapper leaves: an Ecuadorian Connecticut as the main wrapper and an Ecuadorian Habano for the accents.

The Mon Chéri blend stays true to the original Aquitaine profile, utilising Nicaraguan fillers sourced from the rich growing regions of Condega, Estelí, and Pueblo Nuevo. Notably, this blend uses the original CroMagnon filler combination, differentiating it from the updated CroMagnon blend introduced in 2024. This careful selection of tobaccos promises a balanced, complex flavour profile with the same distinctive character that has made the Aquitaine line a fan favourite.

Limited to just 650 bundles of 10 cigars, Mon Chéri will retail at $12 per cigar. The bundles will be allocated to RoMa Craft retailers based on their year-to-date sales of the Aquitaine line, allowing top-selling retailers to offer this exclusive release. Co-founder Michael Rosales shared that Mon Chéri, French for “my darling” and a nod to the popular confection of the same name, is also a continuation of the CRAFT Maquette Series, a collection dedicated to limited-edition versions of RoMa Craft’s best blends.
