RoMa Craft Unveils New Maestranza Cigar Series
RoMa Craft Tobac is setting the stage for an exciting launch with its new Maestranza line, creating waves in the cigar community. Skip Martin, the company’s co-founder, has been stirring up excitement with strategic social media teases about this new regular production line.
The Maestranza will feature a distinct Mexican San Andrés wrapper, known as the Spanish Market Selection, wrapping a Brazilian binder, and filled with blends from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The debut of this line will be marked by a special release under the CRAFT Maquette Series, starting with the CRAFT Maquette La Maestranza. This cigar will be a box-pressed petit gordo measuring 4 1/4 x 56, retailing for $12 each, and sold in bundles of ten. Following this limited edition, RoMa Craft will introduce three more sizes in the fall, expanding the Maestranza range to cater to various preferences:
- Maestranza Ciutadella Catalonia (4 x 50) — $9 each, sold in boxes of 40.
- Maestranza Castillito Murcia (5 x 60) — $11 each, sold in boxes of 40.
- Maestranza Caballería Valencia (6 x 52) — $10 each, sold in boxes of 40.
The inspiration for the name “Maestranza” traces back to a thoughtful connection with the people who have supported the journey of RoMa Craft Tobac and its Nica Sueño factory. Skip Martin shared a personal reflection on the origin of the name, linking it to a story from the Chef’s Table series, where “maestranza” signifies the community of support around you. This concept is a tribute to the journey from the humble beginnings of Nica Sueño to its current status.
This series will initially be available exclusively in the U.S., mirroring the marketing strategy of Wunder|Lust, which is only sold outside the U.S. Both the Maestranza and Wunder|Lust lines will be available in 40-count boxes, divided into two bundles of 20.
This launch not only promises to offer a rich and diverse smoking experience but also stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit and evolution of RoMa Craft Tobac in the competitive cigar industry.
