Selected Tobacco is Releasing a New Line
The company behind the Atabey, Bandolero and Byron cigars, Selected Tobacco, is releasing a new line this summer bearing the name of the founder of the company, Nelson Alfonso. And the line will debut in a special humidor made for Ambassador Fine Cigars of Scottsdale, Arizona.
The limited humidor is exclusively made for the 25th anniversary of the shop and contains 40 cigars, 10 of each of four different cigars made by Selected Tobacco. The humidor contains the Alfonso No.3 (6×54), Atabey Ritos ( 6 1/8 x55), Bandolero Colosales Extra Aged Edition (6×54), and the 6×55 Byron Distinguidos. These Alfonso cigars will only be available in the humidor, but Selected Tobaccos is planning to release different vitolas later this year.
The blend, possible other vitolas and pricing are unknown yet. The only thing known is that there are 200 humidors available. The humidors are lined with French white oak. Each humidor includes a hygrometer, thermometer, four humidifiers, a tray and there is also a bottom drawer.
“Even amid a renaissance in the cigar industry, Selected Tobacco cigars stand out,” says Vartan Seferian, owner of Ambassador Fine Cigars, in a press release. The magic that Nelson Alfonso crafts, delivers a phenomenal experience with every puff. I’m honoured that he created something special for the 25th Anniversary. As I always say, these cigars come with a warning: Careful, you might get used to them.”
