Sinistro Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Limited Edition
Sinistro celebrates its 10th anniversary with a limited edition. And what a limited edition it is, as the Sinistro 10 Year Anniversary sports a very rare Dominican grown broadleaf wrapper. Underneath there’s a Dominican-grown criollo 98 binder. The filler comes from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Pennsylvania, USA. The blend was created by James Agopian of Sinistro Cigars while the cigars are made at Artista Cigars in the Dominican Republic.
“The Rodriguez family has been working on this leaf for the last six years to perfect the wrapper quality,” Sinistro says in a press release. “We’ve tried to use it a few other times before, but had issues due to not having enough perfect wrapper. We’ve waited three years ourselves with this blend in our back pocket just waiting for the right amount of good leaf quality. We want to make this item a regular production cigar but we can only go at the pace of what good wrapper we are able to grow.”
The cigars comes in a 5×52 Robusto and a 6×54 Toro, both limited to 150 boxes of 10 cigars. Sinistro keeps the option open to produce more or even turn the line into a regular production cigar.
“The pure grade on this is like no other, most pure grades are singular with the same flavour notes constantly shining through on your palate,” said Coleman Fine, co-owner of Sinistro Cigars, in a press release. “When James and I tried the pure grade of Dominican Broadleaf, there was no singular flavor profile, it’s as though you can smoke just this wrapper alone and it would make a fantastic cigar.”
