Stauffenberg Cigars Launches Edition 3 “DARK” Toro in January 2026
Stauffenberg Cigars will introduce the Edition 3 “DARK” Toro in January 2026. The 6 x 54 release targets Germany and Austria first, with further international expansion planned.
A Third Release Gains Momentum
Stauffenberg Cigars launched in May 2025. Since then, the brand has steadily attracted attention among European cigar enthusiasts.
Edition 3 represents the next step in that growth. The company positions the new cigar as a bolder and more expressive blend.
Aficionados have awaited the release for several months. The January launch now confirms the timeline.
Blend and Tobacco Composition
The Edition 3 “DARK” uses a Corojo wrapper. That choice signals a shift toward deeper flavour intensity.
The binder and filler rely on Connecticut and Criollo 98 tobaccos. All tobaccos originate from multiple regions in Honduras.
This Honduran-forward blend delivers a layered profile. Stauffenberg Cigars highlights notes of dark chocolate and coffee.
The combination aims to balance richness with structure. The blend targets smokers who prefer depth without excessive strength.
Format and Smoking Experience
The cigar comes in a 6 x 54 Toro format. The larger ring gauge offers substantial smoke output.
Stauffenberg Cigars estimates a smoking time of roughly 90 minutes. That duration suits relaxed, extended sessions.
The size reinforces the “DARK” concept. It allows the blend to unfold gradually across the smoke.
Design and Presentation Details
Edition 3 introduces subtle but deliberate visual updates. An additional gold ring appears at the foot of the cigar.
The handmade cigar boxes also feature a gold quality label on the lid. These elements differentiate Edition 3 from earlier releases.
The presentation signals a premium positioning. The design focuses on restraint rather than excess.
Production Numbers and Availability
Total production for Edition 3 stands at 10,000 cigars. That figure limits availability across initial markets.
In Germany, the cigar will arrive in mid-January 2026. Retailers will offer boxes of 10 and 25 cigars.
The recommended retail price is set at €18.90 per cigar.
In Austria, availability is expected toward the end of January 2026. Distribution will take place through Dios Tabaco, operated by Johann Gallée in Vienna.
Plans Beyond Germany and Austria
Stauffenberg Cigars has confirmed plans to enter additional markets during 2026. Specific countries have not yet been named.
The Edition 3 “DARK” Toro will serve as the brand’s flagship for that expansion. The release builds on momentum established by the first two editions.
