STG Collaborates with Tabacalera William Ventura for New Partagas Y Nada Más Santiago Release
Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) partners with Tabacalera William Ventura for its latest Partagas release—Y Nada Más Santiago—a regular production line honouring the cigar heartland of Santiago, Dominican Republic.
Partagas Y Nada Más Santiago: A Tribute to Tradition and Place
Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is breaking from its usual production path for its latest non-Cuban Partagas release. With Partagas Y Nada Más Santiago, the company is looking beyond its own General Cigar Dominicana facility and placing its trust in one of the Dominican Republic’s most esteemed boutique factories—Tabacalera William Ventura, located in Tamboril, a municipality of Santiago.
Set to begin shipping on 15 May 2025, this new regular production line is both a tribute to the city of Santiago and a reflection of the evolving identity of Partagas. The cigar’s name—Y Nada Más, or And Nothing More—speaks to its stripped-down, confident approach.
The blend is a carefully constructed marriage of tradition and boldness. It features a Habano 2000 wrapper, a Sumatra binder, and a trio of broadleaf, Corojo, and Piloto filler tobaccos, offering what STG describes as a modern yet classic smoking profile. The line will launch in three formats:
• Robusto (5 x 50) – $7.99 (Box of 20 – $159.80)
• Toro (6 x 52) – $8.99 (Box of 20 – $179.80)
• Gordo (6 x 60) – $9.99 (Box of 20 – $199.80)
“This is a cigar that will remind true cigar lovers that there is Partagas, and nothing else,” said John Hakim, brand manager for Partagas. “It’s that timeless quality you expect in a Partagas cigar with a blend that appeals to the modern cigar smoker.”
While STG is no stranger to the Partagas name, this marks an intentional shift—one that showcases not just a new blend but a new partnership. Tabacalera William Ventura has built its reputation crafting blends for boutique darlings like Caldwell, ADVentura, and Freud Cigar Co., and is known for its finesse and attention to detail.
The factory itself has its own dramatic backstory. After a devastating fire in 2022, which resulted in a complete loss of the facility, the Ventura family regrouped—moving production to El Maestro, their original factory. By January 2024, the rebuilt Tabacalera William Ventura reopened, marking a new chapter for both the factory and its partners.
This isn’t the first time STG has tapped into the Ventura legacy—Room101, which STG acquired in 2022, has had cigars produced there through its connection with Caldwell.
With Y Nada Más Santiago, STG combines heritage and innovation, creating a Partagas experience that’s grounded in place, elevated by craftsmanship, and designed for today’s palate. It’s a refreshing and thoughtful addition to the growing landscape of Dominican-made cigars.
