Tatuaje Unveils Three Limited-Edition Corojo Cigars
Tatuaje Cigars has revealed three new limited editions wrapped in Nicaraguan Corojo leaf. These cigars explore how a change in wrapper can transform flavour, and they are expected to reach retailers by the end of August 2025.
Experimenting With Corojo
Pete Johnson, founder of Tatuaje, has long experimented with wrapper swaps across his portfolio. The latest releases highlight a Corojo-seed wrapper grown in Nicaragua by the Garcia family. This tobacco is known for delivering a balance of spice, sweetness, and strength.
Tatuaje T110 Corojo
The T110 Corojo measures 4 3/8 x 52 and is blended entirely with Nicaraguan tobaccos, rich in ligero for a bold profile. It’s the fifth edition of the T110 line, following Habano, Sumatra, Connecticut Broadleaf, and Tuxtla versions.
Price: $12 per cigar
Production: 4,000 boxes of 25
Strength: Full-bodied
Tatuaje Cohete Corojo
The Cohete Corojo joins the Selección de Cazador (Brown Label) family. Translating to “rocket” in Spanish, the vitola is a short, powerful smoke at 4 x 50. This marks the fourth Cohete version after Habano, Sumatra, and Connecticut Broadleaf.
Price: $10 per cigar
Production: 2,000 boxes of 25
Character: Compact, flavourful, robust
Tatuaje Avion 13 Corojo
The third release, Avion 13 Corojo, is a double-tapered perfecto sized 6 7/8 x 52. Based on the Fausto blend, known for intensity, this size adds a new Corojo-wrapped dimension to the line.
Price: $13 per cigar
Production: 2,000 boxes of 25
Previous versions: Connecticut Broadleaf (regular) and Tuxtla (2022)
Made at My Father Cigars
Like most of Tatuaje’s portfolio, the trio is rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua, at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory. Each carries a secondary band identifying its Corojo wrapper, distinguishing them from earlier editions.
With these three cigars, Johnson continues to showcase how wrapper variations shape smoking experiences—while offering collectors and aficionados something limited, bold, and distinctly Tatuaje.
