December 5, 2024 Inspector X 2 min read

J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has announced the nationwide release of The El Reloj Collection, an exclusive set of luxury cigars handcrafted in Tampa, Florida’s historic El Reloj cigar factory. Limited to 500 boxes, this collection is now available to members of the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) for $240 per box.

A Tribute to American Cigar-Making

America has a rich cigar tradition,” says Drew Newman, fourth-generation cigar maker. “The El Reloj Collection showcases how we keep this legacy alive by crafting exquisite cigars in the USA.” El Reloj, the last large cigar factory still operating in the U.S., embodies this mission, blending tradition with exceptional craftsmanship.

The collection includes:
• Two The American Toro
• Two Angel Cuesta Rosado Toro
• Two LeRoy Neiman Collector’s Edition 2024
• Two Angel Cuesta Shade Toro (First Release)
• Two Tampa Smokers (First Release)

A Closer Look at the Cigars

The American

First rolled in 1910, this 100% American-made cigar features a Florida Sun Grown wrapper and heirloom tobaccos. Even the packaging is sourced domestically.

Angel Cuesta

Once the cigar of Spanish royalty, this blend includes an Ecuador Havana Rosado or Nicaraguan Shade wrapper with aged tobaccos. The pigtail cap adds a regal touch.

LeRoy Neiman Collector’s Edition

Inspired by the artist’s passion for cigars, this release features a Havana Rosado wrapper and supports arts education in Tampa schools.

Tampa Smokers

A nod to Tampa’s dual legacies of cigars and baseball, this cigar pairs an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper with Latin American tobaccos.

Experience El Reloj

Visitors to the factory in Tampa, Florida, can explore J.C. Newman’s rich history, enjoy a guided tour, and even enrol in cigar-rolling classes. A walk through El Reloj is a journey through time and tradition—a must for cigar enthusiasts.
