United Cigars Independence Firecracker to Launch in June
United Cigars has announced the June release of the Independence Firecracker, a limited cigar marking 250 years of American independence. Developed with German manufacturer Arnold André, this edition continues the long-running Firecracker tradition with a familiar format and a fresh blend.
A Transatlantic Collaboration
United Cigars partnered with Arnold André to produce this commemorative release. The cigars are made at the Arnold André Dominicana S.R.L. factory in the Dominican Republic. This project reflects several years of close cooperation between both companies.
Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars, highlighted the depth of that partnership. He noted the many hours spent together in the factory. He also pointed to the aged tobaccos Arnold André has accumulated over time.
United Cigars serves as the American distributor for Arnold André. That relationship has expanded steadily in recent years.
Blend and Format Details
Firecracker Size and Presentation
The Independence Firecracker measures 3 1/2 x 50. It follows the classic petite robusto Firecracker shape. A long pigtail cap defines the format visually.
Each cigar comes packed in a 12-count tin. The tin doubles as a portable ashtray. This packaging choice stays true to Firecracker tradition.
Tobacco Composition
The blend uses a Mexican-grown habano wrapper. A Dominican binder supports the structure. The filler combines tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
This combination aims to balance spice, body, and aromatic depth. The short format should deliver an intense but controlled smoking experience.
Pricing and Production
Each cigar carries an MSRP of $9. United Cigars has not set a fixed number of tins. Some tins will see alternative uses.
Overall production exceeds 30,000 cigars. That volume reflects strong confidence in demand.
Boxes of the Independence Firecracker are scheduled to ship in June.
The Firecracker Series Legacy
Origins of the Line
The Firecracker series began in 2007. Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire launched the concept. Dave Garofalo owns both Two Guys Smoke Shop and United Cigars.
Early Firecracker releases were store exclusives. The format quickly gained a loyal following.
Manufacturers Over the Years
Many respected manufacturers have produced Firecracker editions. Past contributors include AGANORSA Leaf, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, My Father, and Tatuaje. Other names include La Flor Dominicana, RoMa Craft Tobac, and Perdomo.
Today, United Cigars distributes the series nationwide. The Independence Firecracker continues that evolution while tying the release to a historic milestone.
