An homage to the Dominican Republic

VegaFina continues to innovate with a new limited edition that pays homage to the brand’s birthplace, the Dominican Republic.

Through this special edition, VegaFina proposes a selection of cigars carefully hand-made with tobacco leaves that come exclusively from the best Dominican tobacco areas. The combination of the different varieties used in the filler, binder and wrapper, each one of them grown in a specific region of the country, gives the cigar very marked organoleptic characteristics that find their balance in the savoir-faire of the Tabacalera de García master blenders. The final touch comes from the three-year aging which have the leaves that make up the cigar. A long and thorough process that results in a very special blend which stands out for its spiced and toasted nuances and its pleasant woody and floral aroma with light sweet notes.

The vitola chosen for this occasion, named “Dominicus” in reference to the religious order that gave its name to the island, is a 48 ring-gauge x 120 mm length, a medium format with a little over than half an hour of smoking, that is also ideal for those aficionados who are new in the premium cigar world and want to enjoy a different cigar.

VegaFina Classic Tributo is presented in an original box with a drawing that includes typical elements from the Dominican Republic, such as the sun, the sea, the palm trees or the country’s national bird, along with others that represents its prestigious tobacco culture, such as the tobacco fields and the hands of the renowed Dominican rollers. The cigars, which count with a third band on the cigar’s foot matching the box’s design, rest on a wooden tray decorated with the brand’s logo.

This limited edition will be available worldwide in the next months.

• Wrapper: medium-dark brown colour, shiny and silky.
• Strength: mild to medium.
• Aroma: tobacco, woody, floral and toasted, with hits of cedar, coffee, vanilla, clove and pepper.
• Taste: tobacco, woody, toasted, with some mineral hints and a light earthy touch. It leaves a sweet aftertaste of cedar, almond, nutmeg and molasses.
• Draw: very good.
• Burning: excellent, very even and homogeneous.
• Ash: light grey with matt medium grey veins, compact and stable.
• Smoking time: 35 minutes aproximately.
