VegaFina Unveils the Year of the Snake 2025 Edition
As the end of the year approaches, cigar enthusiasts anticipate the annual zodiac-inspired releases from leading brands. This year, Tabacalera S.L.U. brings us the VegaFina Year of the Snake 2025, an exclusive cigar designed to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. Scheduled for launch next month, this unique cigar is crafted as a 6 1/4 x 56 corona extra vitola, complete with a distinctive long pigtail cap reminiscent of a snake’s tongue—a creative homage to its zodiac namesake.
The VegaFina Year of the Snake 2025 features a carefully balanced blend, combining an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Hand-rolled at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic, this cigar promises a sophisticated smoking experience, reflecting VegaFina’s renowned craftsmanship and quality.
Launching initially in Spain, each cigar is priced at €11.50 (approximately $12.45). The production is limited, with only 5,750 boxes available, each containing 16 cigars. For its presentation, the cigar embraces classic red and gold colours, symbolic of prosperity and good fortune in Chinese culture. Packaged in sections of eight, the design also pays tribute to the number eight, considered especially lucky.
This limited edition also showcases VegaFina’s updated main band, which will now extend across its range, giving the brand a refreshed look while maintaining its traditional appeal.
Chinese New Year will be celebrated on 29 January 2025, marking the transition from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake. With its thoughtful design and intricate blend, the VegaFina Year of the Snake 2025 is set to be a collector’s item for cigar aficionados and a fitting tribute to the new zodiac year.
