Vicarias Turns Supply Chain Issue Into An Opportunity

Vicarias Cigars ran into supply chain issues as the Brazilian Cubra wrapper they use on the Vicarias Red Label isn’t available momentarily. Instead of stopping production, Luis Cuevas from Tabacalera Las Lavas suggested using another wrapper to create a limited edition. Tabacalera Las Lavas is the production partner for Vicarias.

The new Vicarias Limited Edition has an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder from Jalapa and filler from The Dominican Republic, Pennsylvania and Nicaragua. The binder and filler are the same as the regular production Vicarias Red. There is only one vitola, a 6×54 Toro that comes in bundles of 20 cigars.

Depending on the response of the cigar smokers, the cigar might return as a regular production item or as an annual limited edition.
