Warped Cigars Unveils Exclusive La Colmena ‘8’ for China: Blending Tradition and Luxury in a Symbol of Good Luck
Warped Cigars is set to release a new addition to its La Colmena line, known as La Colmena ‘8,’ exclusively in the Chinese market later this month. Crafted at the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami, this premium cigar is a testament to the surging demand for Warped’s products in China.
According to Kyle Gellis, the owner of the Warped brand, the demand for La Colmena and the entire Warped portfolio has witnessed a remarkable upswing in China over recent years. In recognition of this trend, the La Colmena ‘8’ has been designed as an exclusive offering for Chinese aficionados.
The significance of the number eight in Chinese culture is prominently reflected in both the name and packaging of this cigar. The numeral eight, considered a symbol of good luck, is featured in the cigar’s nomenclature and on its packaging. The La Colmena ‘8’ is presented in boxes containing eight cigars, and the second band showcases the Chinese character for the number eight.
Maintaining the high standards of the La Colmena line, the ‘8’ is composed of a blend featuring a Connecticut-seed Ecuadoran wrapper, an Ecuadoran binder, and fillers sourced from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This Chinese exclusive boasts a size of 5 1/2 inches in length with a 52 ring gauge, featuring a pigtail cap and closed foot. Priced at $30 each, which is nearly double the cost of other La Colmena cigars, this exclusive creation is expected to hit the shelves in the latter part of the month.
International Marketing Exchange LTD, based in Hong Kong, will be responsible for importing and distributing the La Colmena ‘8’ in the Chinese market. The move underscores the brand’s commitment to catering to the flourishing cigar aficionado community in China.
