Warped Isla Del Cocodrilo International Release Announced
Warped Cigars is preparing a special edition of its Isla Del Cocodrilo line exclusively for international markets. The new version keeps the core blend but introduces Peruvian Pelo d’Oro to create a sweeter profile.
A Sweeter Take on Isla Del Cocodrilo
The original Isla Del Cocodrilo debuted in 2024, crafted in the Dominican Republic and named after Cuba’s crocodile-like shape. Like that release, the international edition uses an Ecuador Habano wrapper, an Ecuador binder, a Brazilian binder, and Nicaraguan fillers.
Brand owner Kyle Gellis highlighted the inclusion of Peruvian Pelo d’Oro as the key difference. This rare tobacco is notoriously low-yield due to its vulnerability to disease, but it adds a richer, sweeter dimension to the blend.
Distinct Features of the International Version
Several details distinguish this new release from its predecessor:
It is available only as a Toro Grande (6 1/2 x 54).
Packaging shifts to a blue box, replacing the original green.
A secondary band marks it as an exclusive for markets outside the United States.
The cigar is being rolled at Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic. It will retail at $18 per cigar, with 15 cigars per box. Production is capped at just 1,500 boxes.
First Look at Intertabac
Cigar enthusiasts attending the Intertabac trade show in Dortmund will have the first chance to preview the Isla Del Cocodrilo Toro Grande. With its limited availability, this release is expected to be a sought-after addition for collectors and international smokers alike.
