Weekly news week 10 2021. For the last few months, we have dedicated the first Sunday of each month to write about the legends of the cigar industry. The people that make the industry what it is today because of what they did in the past. Some of the names are still very well known, others have never reached the eye of the average cigar enthusiasts. Others are forgotten. But they still deserve credit for what they did. So we will keep on writing about the Cigar Industry legends such as Arsenio Ramos.
Reviews
The reviews this week both came from the Dominican Republic. But both brands are European. The Britton Jeremy Casdagli is the mastermind behind Casdagli Cigars and his Club Mareva honors the Croatian cigar club owned by Marko Bilic from the Cigar Smoking World Championship. The second cigar comes from Tabacalera William Ventura but Pachuche is a Swiss cigar brand. We reviewed the Liga Azul Tronco.
New cigars
Macanudo creates two more sizes for the popular Macanudo Inspirado White series. One handmade Corona and machine-made Cigarillos. ADVentura Cigars comes with a new vitola for The Navigator Line. And Asylum Cigars celebrates Martes 13, the Hispanic version of Friday the 13th with a new small batch in two sizes.
Abe Flores from PDR Cigars reblended the El Trovador. Both the Maduro and the rosado version. And the packaging gets a fresh new look. Carlos Andre adds a toro to his Cast Off line. And The Traveller Cigars is releasing the 10 Maradona, a tribute to one of the world’s best-ever football players in Belgium and The Netherlands.
Other news
El Viejo Continente is changing distributor in The Netherlands. De Sigarenman is no longer importing and distributing cigars. Their whole portfolio is taken over by Gajane Benelux. The Nicaraguan cigar festival Puro Sabor can’t take place due to the covid-19 pandemic. But instead, the organization teams up with Light ‘em Up and creates a virtual festival. And Cavalier Geneve is also creating a virtual space, a VR cigar lounge for the LE2020. This was the Weekly news for week 10 2021.
