Weekly news week 24 2021

July 19, 2022 Inspector Z 3 min read

Weekly news week 24 2021. The second Sunday of the month is about cigar charities and fundraisers. This time it’s a fundraiser for mental health that uses a monthly cigar subscription to raise money. Money is donated to causes that help people with mental health problems. The fundraiser draws inspiration from the suicide of friends of a cigar importer & distributor. His way to help others is to fund a proper mental health charity.

Reviews

The reviews of this week come from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, although the latter is a Belgian brand. San Lotano is a farm from A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua. It is also a factory from A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua, his smaller factory in Jalapa. And it’s a line of cigars in several blends and sizes from A.J. Fernandez. We reviewed the San Lotano Requiem. The second cigar is a brand owned by the Belgian importer and distributor CAT. It is made by PDR Cigars in the Dominican Republic and the name is the nickname of CAT owner Philippe Van Wilderodyan, El Coyote. We smoked the El Coyote Robusto.

With the PCA Convention & Trade Show around the corner, a lot of companies are announcing new cigars. La Sirena comes with a new cigar made at Tabacalera La Isla. There are also new cigars from Cavalier Geneve. There will be a new Short Tales by Saga, the Short Tales Tomo VII.
