Weekly news week 26 2021
Weekly news week 26 2021. And what a week it was. The servers are overheating with all the new cigars that are announced ahead of the PCA Convention & Trade Show next week in Las Vegas. But more on that later. A few months ago, we saw the birth of a new Cigar Rights movement, Cigar Rights of the World. We interviewed one of the founders, Reinhard Pohorec about Cigar Rights of the World.
Reviews
Even with the crazy amount of news, we are still publishing reviews. One from Nicaragua, the Don Kiki Brown Label Figurado. A cigar from Tabacalera Esteli, a tribute to Industry Legend Don Kiki Berger. The second cigar is a unicorn, and even though it was obtained through reliable sources, the question is if it’s really the elusive and yet unreleased or even unannounced Behike 58.

PCA
With the Convention & Trade Show coming from the Premium Cigar Association, plenty of cigar brands are releasing press releases hyping up their new cigars. Fratello is coming with a sweet addition to their Camo line, the Fratello Camo Sweet. Daniel Marshall has a little incentive for all the PCA members. Artist Manny Iriarte launches The OpusX Society. El Artista Cigars comes with a new Buffalo Ten with a Connecticut wrapper and a new Slugger with David Ortiz. And for the first time in years, Ashton is releasing a new La Aroma de Cuba. There’s also a new cigar in EPC’s La Historia line, a classic Lonsdale.
Crux Cigars has a big line-up of new items for PCA. As does Jake Wyatt Cigars, with a nice Lancero sampler plus more. Tatuaje has many new items, including a new La Riqueza and a new Tatuaje Cojonu 2021. Oliva adds new sizes to the Serie V Melanio and the Melanio Maduro. Casa Turrent adds 16 new cigars to the Casa Turrent 1880 lines. Espinosa Cigars comes with the third installment of the Las 6 Provincias. Miami Cigar Company brings two new Dominican Don Lino cigars to Las Vegas. Eddie Tarazona flies to the PCA show on a broomstick. And there is a new Mexican cigar coming, Casa 1910. The biggest eye-catcher is the Black Studio Works Hive sampler.
Other news
There is plenty of other news too. For example from the United Kingdom. Cigar smokers in Britain can now enjoy cigars from Dapper Cigar Company and from Vegas de Santiago. Belgian cigar enthusiasts get a chance to smoke Izambar cigars through Casa de Puros. Customers of 2 Guys Cigars can get their hands on a collaboration between Single Cask Nation and Aganorsa Leaf. Plus Condega moves into Lebanon with their cigars, which also come from the Aganorsa factory.
With the Covid-19 pandemic fading away in Europe, cigar events start to take place again. Whisky & Cigar Lounge Gronau is hosting a cigar Messe in September. The French magazine L’Amateur de Cigare is hosting their 26th Nuit de L’Amateur de Cigare in Paris in November. Also in September is the virtual Cigar Award show, and you can vote for your favorite candidates now. A rare Habanos jar from Russia was available as NFT. The cigar birthday calendar for July was published. Plus we talked with Abe Flores about the reason for the new, amazing packaging of PDR Cigars. This was the weekly news for week 26 of 2021.
