Weekly news week 30 2021
Weekly news week 30 2021. A few weeks ago, us and L’Amateur de Cigare both published articles about shortages of Cuban cigars. This after alarming reports from retailers, who are facing empty shelves as Habanos cannot provide enough cigars to supply the demand. There are several reasons for the shortage, which we explained in our article. But what are the consequences of these shortages? That was the question we tried to answer last Sunday.
Reviews
Two reviews again this week. Both from cigars hailing from Nicaragua. The first one is from Tabacalera Esteli, known for the Don Kiki and K by Karen Berger cigars. The Don Kiki Platinum Label Toro. A scarcely available cigar but not exactly a limited edition. The second cigar comes from the Plasencia Cigars Factory, but it’s not a Plasencia cigar. It is the Hiram & Solomon Grand Architect Toro. As with all Hiram & Solomon cigars, there is a link to the Masonic roots of the brand.

Cigar news
Tabacalera LSU, the exclusive distributor for Habanos in Spain, releases two different jars with aged Cuban cigars annually. The Collecion Vintage, and the Sevilla Series. The 2021 edition of the Sevilla Series is now available in shops. There are only 2000 jars available. The blenders of Macanudo deemed the 2010 crop from the Connecticut River Valley worthy of the label vintage. So Macanudo is releasing the Macanudo Vintage 2010. Cavalier Geneve is shipping its LE2021 to American retailers. The international partners of Cavalier Geneve have to wait a few more weeks. Alec Bradley is bringing back a classic with a triangle shape. The Alec Bradley Trilogy comes in three blends, and only 1000 boxes of each are available.
Drew Estate is changing the packaging of the Liga Privada Unico Papas Fritas. Instead of boxes of 25, the cigars will now come in boxes of 25. Casdagli Cigars and the accessory manufacturer Les Fines Lames already did a collaboration in the past. But now there is a second collaboration, with two new Les Fines Lames Casdagli cigar knives. Casa Magna is returning to The Netherlands. The VegaFina 1998 Vintage 1 is now available in Germany. A new month means a new birthday calendar. But the biggest news of the weekly news of week 30, 2021 is the fact that Eladio Diaz is retiring. The legendary right-hand man from Henke Kelner is a key player in the success of Davidoff after their move to the Dominican Republic. He’s leaving the company at age 68.
