Let’s start with the new cigars. Hiram & Solomon is a cigar company with a Masonic approach. So giving back is part of the culture. We Care as they say, and that translates to Curamus. It is the name of a new Dominican-made Hiram & Solomon cigar. Protocol Cigars is releasing a small batch for the Facebook group Johnny smokes uncut. Laura Chavin comes with cigars that contain a strain of ancient tobacco. And there is a new limited Edition Condega. The Serie S Masaya pays tribute to the volcanoes in Nicaragua.
Eddie Ortega is bringing back Ortega Cigars. The Swiss importer and distributor Royal Cigar Company is adding the La Galera Habano to its portfolio. Illusione is taking over the distribution for Amendola Cigars. The cigars from Ernesto Perez Carrillo are coming to New Zealand. And Villiger appoints Gert Kamphuis in a new role to grow international business. Bond Roberts released the BR25 Index. Last but not least, Alec Bradley discontinues three lines.
Lounges
There is news about two lounges. A brand new lounge is opening as an official Habanos Lounge. It is the 109 Cigar Lounge in Moscow, Russia. The name comes from the rare 109 vitola. Sad news from Sweden. The cigar shop and cigar lounge Mellgren’s Fine Tobacco in Gothenburg is closing its doors due to bankruptcy. This is the weekly news of week 9 2021
